Welcome to METAC

The Middle East Regional Technical Assistance Center (METAC) is a collaborative venture between the International Monetary Fund (IMF), member countries/territories, and bilateral and multilateral  development partners. The Center’s strategic goal is to help its 14 member countries strengthen their institutional and human capacity to design and implement macroeconomic and financial policies that promote growth and reduce poverty. METAC was established in October 2004 in Beirut, and provides technical assistance and training to Afghanistan, Algeria, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, West Bank and Gaza and Yemen.
